Michelle Obama has opened up about how divorce rumors surfaced regarding her 32-year marriage to former President Barack Obama simply by her making her own decisions about how to spend her time. After the eight-year marriage between Devin Justine and Brendan Cleary ended in divorce, the couple from Washington state mapped out a custody arrangement known as birdnesting. Their two children remain in the family home, and Justine and Cleary take turns living there to provide them with a stable environment. “I’m a product of divorce. I spent my life living out of a suitcase, and there was no way we could ask our kids to do the same. Kids want to sleep in the same bed every night,” Justine told TODAY.com. “The weight of it all was incredibly heavy for me.”
