Two former Major League Baseball players are among at least 113 people who were killed when the roof at a club in the Dominican Republic collapsed yesterday, officials said this morning. At least 155 others were taken to the hospital after the collapse at the Jet Set club in the National District during a performance by merengue singer Rubby Pérez. The performer died in the collapse along with former big-league pitcher Octavio Dotel, former Washington Nationals player Tony Blanco and a governor, officials said. The cause of the tragedy is being investigated.
