How 1 woman lost 96 pounds in 1 year by tracking non-scale victories |
When Melissa Paluch went to her first doctor's appointment in three years she was shocked to learn she had diabetes, high blood pressure, borderline high cholesterol, a genetic marker for heart disease and severe sleep apnea.
The news prompted her to make a change and one year later the 44-year-old has lost 96 pounds, reversed her diabetes and is almost medication-free. “Honestly, it started off as a weight-loss journey and then turned into so much more than that,” she says.
A big part of her success was not relying on the scale to track her progress. Instead, she used non-scale victories to stay motivated — and one of them even helped her save enough money for a family vacation to the beach this summer.
Learn how she used non-scale victories to reach her weight-loss goal. |
