🏈 Bills player Damar Hamlin may have suffered cardiac arrest from commotio cordis, experts say. Here's what that means. 

Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin remains in critical condition after collapsing on the field following a tackle and suffering cardiac arrest in Monday's game against the Bengals. The cause of Hamlin's cardiac arrest has yet to be confirmed, but one condition experts are looking at is called commotio cordis. It occurs when a person gets hit in the chest with a certain amount of force at a very specific time in the heart cycle, which can trigger cardiac arrest. Commotio cordis is a very rare occurrence usually found in athletes hit in the chest by baseballs or hockey pucks, according to NBC News contributor Dr. Natalie Azar. Jeremy Renner shares a photo from the hospital after being run over by his own snowplow.

The "Hawkeye" star is on the road to recovery after being run over by his own snowplow while trying to clear a car from the snow at his home near Reno, Nevada. He shared a photo from the hospital after local police say he was run over by his 14,000-pound PistenBully when it began to roll on its own as he was talking to a family member. Renner's hospital selfie shows him with a bruised face. "Thank you all for your kind words," he wrote. "I'm too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all." See the photo here.
