The beloved TODAY weatherman is set to make his return to the show on Friday after being off the air for weeks due to medical issues. Al, 68, was admitted to the hospital in mid-November due to blood clots in his legs and lungs, but returned home around Thanksgiving. He then had to return to the hospital for a second stay that caused him to miss the lighting of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree last month. He was discharged from the hospital on Dec. 8 and expressed his gratitude for the outpouring of well wishes from TODAY fans and colleagues during the "tough slog." Bills safety Damar Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest on the field during 'Monday Night Football' and is in critical condition.

Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin, 24, is listed in critical condition after collapsing on the field and suffering cardiac arrest following a tackle in the first quarter against the Cincinnati Bengals on "Monday Night Football," the Bills said. Hamlin received CPR for several minutes on the field before being taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital. The game was postponed, and fans from both teams gathered outside the hospital to pray for his recovery. Meanwhile, Hamlin's charity toy drive was flooded with donations after the incident. Actor Jeremy Renner is in intensive care after undergoing surgery following a snow plowing accident in Nevada. 

The 51-year-old "Hawkeye" actor was in intensive care yesterday after undergoing surgery when he “suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries” in a snowplowing accident in Nevada, his rep said. Authorities said Renner was flown to a nearby hospital after the accident near Reno, where the actor has had a home for the past several years. Renner is a known construction buff, and was slated to star in a Disney+ documentary series about rebuilding communities. He's also recently posted videos and photos to social media showing him operating heavy machinery. Here's the latest.

These two best friends do just about everything together — including giving birth. Shauna Wheeler, 41, and Ivy Chichester, 37, found out they were pregnant at the same time, and then had their babies only two days apart at the same hospital last month. It was the latest coincidence between two best friends who had their older children only a week apart — plus, Wheeler shares a birthday with Chichester's sister. "It felt surreal, but also right," Chichester told us. "It felt like we were meant to be at the hospital at the same time, and we were meant to have our babies around the same time, and that our friendship was meant to be."
