President Biden is expected to announce today that he will cancel $10,000 in federal student loans for borrowers making $125,000 a year or less. He also is expected to extend the federal student loan payment pause for several more months, multiple sources told NBC News. A White House spokesman said yesterday that no final decision has been made yet about student debt cancellation. Roughly 45 million Americans have student debt.
Excessive drought conditions this summer have uncovered 113-million-year-old dinosaur tracks at the aptly named Dinosaur Valley State Park in Texas. The tracks belong to two different species of dinosaur, a theropod called Acrocanthosaurus believed to have stood 15 feet tall, and a sauropod called Sauroposeidon believed to have been about 60 feet tall and weighing 44 tons, a park official told TODAY. Normally, the tracks are buried under mud and will soon be buried again by rain and the river. See more photos of them here.

This 4-year-old baseball fan got a lesson in how to grip a hot dog at a Detroit Tigers game when he watched it flop out of the bun on the ground, resulting in a classic Homer Simpson "Doh!" reaction. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as Chicago-based hot dog stand The Wieners Circle hosted Matthew Hoobler and his family for a party that included a tutorial on proper hot dog-holding form. It's all in the wrist, kid.
