🇫🇮 Finland, which shares a border with Russia, announced its intention to join NATO 'with no delay.'

The president and prime minister of Finland, which shares an 810-mile border with Russia, announced their support today for the nation to join NATO to strengthen its security in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Finland has traditionally remained militarily neutral and maintained good relations with Moscow. President Sauli Niinistö was asked if Russia would be provoked by Finland joining the Western military alliance. "My response would be that you caused this. Look at the mirror,” he said.

A 911 call reveals Vicky White’s final moments before the violent end to her 11-day manhunt. 

Audio released by police yesterday details the final words by the former corrections officer before she took her own life during a police chase in Indiana. "The airbags are going to go off and kill us!” she can be heard saying to Casey White, the accused murderer she helped escape from an Alabama jail. “Let’s get out and run.” Casey White is now locked in an Alabama state prison. "We have not seen any remorse that would be characteristic with somebody who really cared about their significant other," an Indiana sheriff said about White.

This tiny tick can cause you to become allergic to red meat. Here’s how to protect yourself.

Researchers say that cases of alpha-gal syndrome, a strange sensitivity to red meat and sometimes dairy, are on the rise. It’s caused by a bite from a lone star tick, which can be found in nearly half the country. “I've gone anaphylactic within 10 minutes of inhaling the fumes of (animal) meat or dairy cooking,” one woman with the syndrome told us. Here’s how to avoid tick bites this summer.

😵 A passenger with 'no idea' how to fly took control and landed a plane safely after the pilot passed out.

A passenger who apparently had never flown before landed a single-engine Cessna plane safely in Florida after the pilot suffered a medical emergency. Darren Harrison told air traffic control the pilot had become "incoherent" and that he had "no idea how to fly the airplane." Listen to the live audio from the call here. With air controller Bobby Morgan coaching him, Harrison managed to touch down safely at Palm Beach International Airport. "My best student ever," Morgan, a part-time flight instructor, told us.
