What feels dead and lifeless inside of you? It’s a question Maria Shriver recently pondered herself in the wake of a family tragedy. She recommends everyone think about it.
“We can all walk around seemingly alive, but feel dead on the inside. We're all running around doing things that bring us no joy or meaning. We stay in jobs, relationships, or situations well past when we should, incorrectly believing that life doesn't have more in store for us,” she wrote.
Shriver has vowed to live her life a little less hurried and to banish negative thoughts: "I've spent so much time trying to fix myself, only to now realize that I'm already whole."

Even when we know people’s names, why do we go for days without using them? By using someone’s name, you help them feel seen and acknowledged — and that’s an act of kindness. According to kindness.org’s research in collaboration with the University of Oxford, doing a kind act increases happiness, well-being, trust and compassion. And it can have the same powerful effect on those who receive the act. Try it, and put a smile on both your faces. |

When stress is high and your body feels fatigued, it’s easy to go for processed “comfort” foods. But a few whole, real foods can actually start reversing the inflammation and bloating that may be weighing you down. Focus on “reset” foods, like sweet potatoes with skin-friendly beta carotene and fiber or proteins with Omega-3 oils like wild salmon or pecans, to boost your immune system.
When you feel sluggish, your gut may be bogged down, too. That’s why foods with “good” bacteria, like kefir, and foods that contains pre-biotic fiber to feed the good bacteria, like asparagus, can help give you more energy.
Read more about reset foods in the link below. |
