In the market for a new mattress? This is the best month to go shopping. According to Consumer Reports, the mattress industry rolls out new products in June, so most stores clear their inventory of older models in May by offering deep discounts.
Remember, one-third of your life will be spent sleeping. Take your time picking the best option for your sleeping style. Lie down on any mattress you’re considering for least 5 or 10 minutes on each side and on your back, Consumer Reports recommends. If you can't try out a mattress before buying, carefully check out the manufacturer's return policy.

Even when we know people’s names, why do we go for days without using them? By using someone’s name, you help them feel seen and acknowledged — and that’s an act of kindness. According to kindness.org’s research in collaboration with the University of Oxford, doing a kind act increases happiness, well-being, trust and compassion. And it can have the same powerful effect on those who receive the act. Try it, and put a smile on both your faces. |

More than a quarter of women say a doctor has ignored or dismissed their symptoms, and almost a third say they feel like they need to "prove" their complaints, a TODAY and SurveyMonkey poll has found.
What can you say to get the doctor to hear you? Experts suggest phrasing your concern this way: “I know my body and I know something is not right. I think there’s more to this than just what we discussed today. Can you think of some additional things that we could consider that would be causing these symptoms for me?” Try to engage the doctor as a partner, but be firm.
