When is Labor Day?
This year, the federal holiday fell on Monday, Sept. 2. However, deals started rolling out weeks prior, including brands and retailers offering back-to-school savings and end-of-summer clearances.
When did Labor Day sales start?
DealNews.com Consumer Analyst Julie Ramhold previously told Shop TODAY that most brands start holding official sales as early as two weeks ahead of the weekend. “As for those closer to the holiday itself, they’ll likely start no later than the Friday of the holiday weekend, though some will start a couple of days earlier,” says Ramhold.
Mattress brands, such as Serta and Sealy, got a head start earlier this month, but it's safe to say the best, official deals are here.
