The 2024 Summer Olympics has become quite a memorable experience for Savannah Guthrie’s son, Charley.
On Aug. 6, TODAY’s Al Roker posted several photos on Instagram from a party at the Olympics celebrating the history of Team USA basketball, which just so happened to feature Charley, 7, getting up-close and personal with James, who, of course, is on the United States’ men’s basketball team, as well as having served as a flag bearer during the opening ceremony.
The last picture captured Charley, decked out in a jacket and striped shirt with Al standing behind him, while Charley looked up in wonder at James, sporting a United States of America T-shirt and holding a drink in his left hand.
“That time we all went to the @nbc @nba party in Paris. And a big #thankyou to @ralphlauren for the loan of a last minute jacket!” Al captioned the pictures.
“You made Charley Feldman’s dream come true Uncle @alroker ❤️,” Savannah wrote in the comments.

Several other people couldn’t help but gush about the moment.
“The look on Charlie’s face is so special,” someone wrote.
“Sweet!! Love the look on Charley’s face,” another person commented.
“Ohhh that last pic. So sweet,” someone else wrote.

The TODAY crew was in full effect at the party, as Al was joined in the first photo in his carousel by Savannah, Hoda Kotb, Craig Melvin and Willie Geist, with wife Deborah Roberts appearing in multiple shots, too.
There’s also a picture of Tom Brady, who’s been spotted at the Games and hanging with Team USA rugby star Ilona Maher, schmoozing with Al.
As for James, he is getting ready to get back to business on the hardwood. He and the rest of the men’s basketball squad will continue its quest for its fifth consecutive Olympic gold medal on Aug. 6 at 3:30 p.m. ET when it takes on Brazil in the quarterfinal round, with a spot in semifinals on the line.
