"Glee" actor Darren Criss has announced his newborn son’s unusual name.
“Brother László Criss,” the “Glee” actor captioned an Instagram.“6/3/24.”
“And yes, his first name is Brother,” Criss, 37, added.
Criss and his wife, writer Mia Swier, are also parents of 2-year-old daughter, Bluesy Belle.
“If you need to say ‘yes his name really is…’, chances are you picked a bad name,” one person wrote in the comments.
Noted another, “Some people need to remember (or outright realize) their babies are actual human beings they are choosing to name.”
Several people wondered if Bluesy and Brother are a nod to The Blues Brothers band.
Other reactions included:

Of course, Criss was also inundated with congratulatory wishes from friends such as Andy Cohen and fellow "Glee" alum Kevin McHale.
During a 2022 appearance on “The View,” Criss explained the inspiration behind Bluesey Belle’s name.
“Her parents are musicians,” he said, “but she’s named after her grandfather’s eyes. My father had very blue eyes.”
Criss’s father, Charles William Criss Jr., died in 2020 after being treated for a heart condition.
Criss announced on Instagram in December 2023 that he and Swier were expecting their second child.
