Congratulations are in order for Janet Jackson! At the age of 50, the singer-songwriter is expecting her first child.
“We thank God for our blessing,” Jackson told People.
The official news comes after months of suspected baby-bump sightings and tabloid speculation.

In April, it was Jackson herself who kicked off the baby buzz with a message to fans explaining that she would be postponing her "Unbreakable" world tour so that she and husband Wissam Al Mana could devote time to family matters.
"There actually has been a sudden change," Jackson said in a video. "I thought it was important that you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family."
And now their planning to welcome their baby sometime soon.
